Getting started bulding the out line for the drop down gate before I put the supports in or mesh gate

After frame was built. I applied the mesh gate down then bolted it in it is really strong and hold weight fine.
Attaching the hinges to the floor of the trailer
Finished pictures I may go with three hinges instead of two

Here is a link to the tail gate lift on one of my trailers. I also built this trailer when I was a senior in high school. 18'x6'4", 6" channel frame. Three years later it was retired from being the main trailer, ended up being to narrow to carry our 72" mowers.

Not much of a trailer here, just a 4'6" x 12' that I built in 1997 to haul ATV's on. Built from the axle of an old boat trailer I had...kind of a mistake, as the 4 x12 tires aren't really heavy enough for any real weight. That being said, you can see that I've built an 8' long by 2' high box to haul mulch in. Can get about 3 yards of mulch in it, the tires do well. And, it will carry one hell of a load of tires! Thinking about how to get them on the ZTR, but I believe it's overkill!! 48" tall x 31" wide may be a little much for a simple mower.
Nice trailer Tater! I've never thought of such an idea, but it is a great one.

Yeah, these are some monsters. They go to a lime/fertilizer spreader truck that my dad owns. Four of those on the back, two on the steer. Not much stops this thing.
