I'm in mid michigan, and last week I put on a set of Toro Atomics (same as Gators). At this point, I think that I'd be better off with a good set of high lifts.

The only time I use gators is in the fall with leafs. They are horrible in wet grass. Every time I used them with wet grass the grass would come out in little balls.

Gators are made by Oregon; Gators are avail. in three models: standard, Magnum, and Magnum high lift; don't cut fescue or blue grass here, but the gotors work well for me here. We run standards in the winter, manums in the spring, and high lift mags in the rainy season.

We run gators and they work fine for us though we typicaly do not mow when the grass is wet. There are great in the fall with leaves.
