Approx 2 year old enclosed (covenant cargo) trailer had welds break today along front frame of trailer causing considerable down time. Contacted manufacturer only to be told to tow my trailer with a broken frame from central Florida to Georgia to have them take a look at it because my dealer had gone out of business. The manufacturer was to call me back today with a list of dealers I could take it to closer to me, but failed to return the call.

I was forced to make some temporary repairs myself so I could work tomorrow. Upon removing wood walls I found very thin frame rails had actually cracked in half. Also worth noting only visable rails were painted, as the supports behind the wood were left unpainted and very rusty. The $1500I saved will end up costing about $6000 within 6 months, if this poorly made trailer makes it that long. It seems they cut corners wherever possible during construction.

It seems like there is no build standard for enclosed trailers. I have seen so much junk out there its ridicules. Next time you are looking at trailers look underneath them. If you see shoddy wire job, rusty unpainted frame and rough cuts, I'd just walk away.

Pace makes a commercial unit that's halfway decent. Along with Classic manufacturing, and the ever expensive FeatherLite trailers.

So, what's the problem?

The worst part is that I can not even get someone from covenant to return a phone call regarding the problems. They could care less. A satisfied customer tells a friend, and a dissatisfied customer tells everyone. That is what I plan to do!

That's about the only option you have at this point !!

Me too, 3 1/2 years, and working as new.

I hope you get another 3 1/2 years out of it. These things are too expensive to be replacing after only a couple of years.
