Was told by the dodge dealer me 96 Ram 2500 V10 needs a new ignition coil. They want $350. Was wondering if this is an easy fix I can do myself or should just pay them?

actually you need a coil pack. the v-10's are distributorless. the coil pack is bolted to the passenger side of the intake i believe. there are actually 2 coil packs- 1 six pack and 1 four pack...you should replace them both. you can get them aftermarket for about $200 or so and you can replace them in about 30 min

Thanks mark, and yes the dealership said this truck has two. They did a tune up on it and ran better than before, but it still has a sputtering jerk with very little powe to it. He said all tests are pointing towards the ignition coil. I wasnt 100% sure if thats what the spark plug wires are attached to or not, singe there is no distributor.
I've been trying to find one online but cant as of yet, so I think Ill just have the dealership replace it. He wants 300 and some change. If I do it myself I still have to pay $95 diagnostics so I may as well just have them replace it.
Thanks, I appreciate the help
