Whats the best ways to get an aerator in a truck? I dont have a trailer but willing to get a hitch trailer if need be. My truck is a 1500 Sierra and its a lesco aerator. Im not sure what the weight but I know their heavy. Is a hitch trailer the way to go?

Aerators are HEAVY, you ain't gonna wanna be tossing one in the back of a pickup too much...or at all...

Will the hitch trailer work or wil it mess up the balance of the truck

Small trailer would work just fine. Unless you mean a hitch cargo carrier. That would be tough.

I was thinking about something more like this. Do you think this would work?

I dont do it very often since I have a trailer but when I do I remove the weights then back up to the curb and use some 6 foot aluminum ramps and pull it up into the bed. Backing up to the curb helps the angle of the ramps so it isnt so steep.

Hey that might work out. I've seen them before and they must be pretty heavy duty.
Good Luck!

What about a 2x10 and just ride it up there?

Use a hitch rack.

A trailer will be the easiest, safest and most versatile way to transport equipment. At some point, you will have more equipment to haul. So instead of buying a hitch rack & then a trailer, why not get a trailer now?

A hitch rack is cheaper, doe's not need registration, burns far less fuel, it's easy to get into tight spaces and much faster to load/unload. Pull a trailer around to haul a wb aerator, brilliant advise barry!
