The leaves have little fine hairs on them.

Thanks!

Without looking in my weed reference manual it appears to be a bigassus weedus.

Are the houses listed in the photo gallery some of your accounts?

It's Dallisgrass! What's the turf? Fescue/Bluegrass?

sure looks like dallas grass to me. I've got that crap in my Burmuda lawn.

What's considered appropriate post emergent herbicide for Dallisgrass? Will Drive® 75 DF kill it?

I don't think it is dallisgrass. I would expect to see a seedhead on a plant that size. Does dallisgrass even grow in MD? Drive won't kill dallisgrass anyway. MSMA or a spot spray of roundup is about your best bet for dallisgrass.

Not sure, however, what ever it is, it's everywhere around here.

If it is Dallisgrass round up won't do much. been there done that and it comes back. MSMA did a good job killing it.

DALLISGRASS Trimec-plus Follow Label May Take Two Apps.

I came across Bayer Advanced All-In-One Weed Killer for Lawns, plus Crabgrass Killer that has MSMA as the active ingredient. I found Trimec, but not Trimec Plus in Ace Hardware, but didn't see it anywhere else.

CHECK THE LABEL TO SEE IF DALLIS IS ON IT IF NOT LESCO CARRIES IT. TRIMEC WONT KILL IT YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE PLUS

Get some better pictures, and we might be able to tell what it is for sure. By better pictures I mean no insult, just that we need to see th structures of the plant that are used to identify the plant, auricles, ligules, seed head structure, crown shape etc. This means close ups against a white background. It could be dallasgrass, but I reserve the right to change the name when I see some close ups.:waving:

Yep,
just killed off half my backyard with round up as it was easier and cheaper then spot spraying and spending the time to pull it up. Just round-up, wait two weeks and replant.

Fixing to start a thread concerning it myself.

Not sure what it is but it doesn't look like Dallis to me either. It's too light green, Dallis has a much more flattened growth habit, I would expect to see the thick stems and not just the leaves, there would be seedheads all over at that size. Maybe it is Dallis but I wouldn't bet on it.
