hi everyone,
i was quite curious what brands of push mowers everyone used to do the tight quartered areas where the rider doesn't do the job. i use a lawn boy insight with a Honda engine 21" aluminum deck. it seems to do a simply excellent job. yes it was kinda pricey but all i can say is wow.

if you want to push, the aluminum l/b is the way to go. I have an OLD 2stroke that sits as a backup and starts every time. Also toro proline 21" We've got at three speed two stroke and it hauls A$$!! That lawn boy will last you forever!

JX75 with 6hp Kawi. Alum decks are great my old Lawn Boy gold had one as well. Also they quit making the LB with offset wheels right?

Im pretty sure that Toro has always owned Lawnboy. I have had a Lawn Boy rider for almost 3 years and I have always heard it was a Toro product.

old ransomes push, not self propelled, mower with the steel deck. Had one that is going on its third motor. They're idiot proof for the idiots that destroy them

Do not own any 21's. The smallest is a Great Dane 32" Champ. Anything not accessable by that is weed whacker material.

I don't have a push mower, don't believe in 21's.

Now I've had to push the 48" around before but I wouldn't consider that :p

I've got 2 husquvarna 21's and they're done. The wheels keep clicking out of position, the handle broke and I had to weld it, the handles pop out of position, to many rocks have been hit with them (employees) and even though I've changed the blades, they have some wobble to them. Probibly the shaft.

SO I'm thinking about getting the Honda HRC216PDA. About $750 I believe, but the guys tend to use the 21's quite a bit for really severe hills, inside corners, small backyards, under low hanging trees, etc.. Anyone have this mower? How do you like it?

JD 21" (whatever model was right below the jx75) but thats only used on my yard. Never had a gate that my 36" ferris wont fit through, even in the really really old parts of town where they installed those skeet gates.
