I am getting more and more business for aerating these days. Customers are finallly realizing that a cement yard will not grow grass. (Clay) I have a spike arearator that will hole 55 gal. of water. The weight from the water will make the spikes sink in the clay. I have started aerating these lawws 2 times per year. What a difference it makes. My question is what is the going rate for this service per 1000 sq ft?

I saw some posts on aeration pricing 2 or 3 days ago. I would get a core aerator that takes plugs out instead of the spike aerator. I charge minimum of $65.00 for a small yard, but don't have any real formula as yards can vary in difficultly (slopes, etc). Check the posts from a few days ago, as prices charged can vary.

i have read that a spike aereator will create more compaction.
