Wouldn't the other guy be better off running 2 crews? Judging by the size of mowers, I guess they do mostly large commercial stuff?

no way, i agree with you 100%. the guy has 5 mowers on his trailer? he could run 3 crews off that trailer. I feel like it would take them longer to load and unload than it would to mow the lawn.

a while back i saw a post from a guy that said he wuold have 4-5 crews working off one truck. he would drop an employee, mower, trimmer, and blower off in one area and the guy would cut all the accounts in the area. he also claims to train other guys to do the same thing w/ their business, but i all sounded fishy. just my .02

Nice pics Nick, and I agree, too many mowers on a trailer unless he is cutting a MASSIVE property such as a college campus that contracts out groundskeeping or a big corporate campus.

idk. i think my ranger would pull that just fine. you would have to load it correctly though. besides. who said anything about stopping that load?

looks good, nice stripes, it might just be the camera but it looks like those lawns could use some H2O

^^^^ i aint got a single account that aint in need of H2O. even the lawns w/ irrigation are suffering.

I watered my lawn almost everyday lastweek and then today when I was doing some landscaping I couldn't get the rain to stop for 20 minutes. But we got it done finally. A 3 to 4 hour job turned in to a 9 hour job.

How could that guy not be profitable?...HE"S GOT 5 BIG MOWERS, he's doing something right. He prbably runs a crew of 4 or 5 that can bust out some mad commercial. Think about it, he's got two ztr's, two standups, and looks like a tractor, he probably always has 2 or 3 mowing and 1 to 3 trimming/edging or what not...you gotta have the right equipment for the right job.

Im sure some of his jobs require the standups for hills and others he needs his ztr's, all in the same day....He looks way bada$$ to me!
