Change deck- 48">36"

Would it be feasable to down size the deck of a 48" scag belt drive (200hrs) to a 36" new deck? Cost would be $650 for material including belts and pulleys. I have a 52" mower but I'm running into properties with gates and postage stamp size front yards. Would like eliminate 21" and not buy a new/used 36".:confused:

Well since you researched it some, did your dealer tell you the 36" deck will bolt up to the frame.

If so then I would have to say it is.

Do you have 2 mowers a 48 & a 52 Scag because the 52 Scag
is wider than the 48 depending on the power. Ed
