that would made for a real crappy day to get it stuck. was there another machine to pull it out on site?

this time yes, our new telehandler is proving to be multi-facilitated. usually if on a job we'' put the spade down and pick the rear wheels up and then through our alturnamats under it. as long as I keep it on them I've never had a problem... get off them and the fun begins.

those mats are expensive as all heck arnt they? i was thinking about getting a little run of them. maybe i will stick to ply wood

60k truck on plywood not so great. crack. I've been able to drive that spade over places you could barely walk thru using those mats, that' and I've had the same set now for over 4 years.

It's amazing where a loaded tandem can go. I used to drive a Kenworth dump truck, and as long as there was a firm layer somewhere down in the mud, loaded it would go places that a 4x4 pickup would struggle. Empty, now that was a different story....

The Louisville Fords do pretty good offroad. I have had L-9000s where other tandems couldn't go.
