Let me guess the light is made in China, it is under engineered, poorly constructed and you only were charged thousands more than you should have on the piece of equipment that paved the way to receive the light? Am I close?

I am kidding.................I swear............I really do......Just haven some CAT fun.

I would not waste the explosives on it. Those MTL's are built to self destruct all on their own. :clapping:

I am feeling a little "punchy" tonight. My Redskins are perfect in the preseason, not that it makes any difference. Actually perfect in the preseason means 0-6 in the regular season.

The Idaho "Redskins"....I thought it was the Idaho Potato Skins.....got my flash light too....this will make you CAT haters happy..I gotta take my 297 in for some service work...the quick attach keeps wanting to bleed down and let one side of the attachment come unhooked....maybe I'll trade it in on a new CTL while I'm there...

Why don't you have them give you a demo on a CTL when you take your 297 in? Let me know if you try one. I'd like to to see what it's made of.

I think they've presold all the ones they had on the lot...I'll ask....I heard price is suppose to be comparable to the mtl...because of all the steel in the undercarriage...I think someone is yanking my chain alittle.....:dizzy:

Well your close QPS. Its actually the Idaho four skins. When you grow up in ND your free to pick whatever team you want to follow. Other than the ViQueens 8 hours away, its pretty much open as to who you follow. I just got done checking to see if the 'skins lay the Colts. I knew we played you in the preseason but I was hoping we also had a regular season game. I would love to come to Indy and met QPS, and Dozerman. I might even bring your limited addition CAT hat, QPS. Unfortunately we only got to kick your arse in the preseason, maybe next year.

I read in the WSJ that CAT was sending out a bunch of flashlights. They thought the CAT customers would appreciate a flashlight to find all the leaks, and cracks, hell you know what I am refering to, your familiar with the drill. That was mighty nice of them, CASE has never given me a flashlight.

preach on brother

I'm going to give myself the position of Preacher in the "Church of Holy Cat", I foresee myself being very successful in converting non-Cat believers to the Yellow light, but 2 years after I hit my peak, I go down in flames when the paparazzi catch me with demo on a Case.
I try to tell my side of the story, only to have my teary eyed wife at my side crying "It wasn't his fault, it's those damn Case sales people, they just need some exposure, and my dear Ronnie told them he'd give them a try"....
We go our separate ways, each appearing on various home improvement shows on TLC operating various types of heavy equipment and power tools..............and the rest will be history.

The 279 is 78" across the tracks, that's the problem I had, 68" is what I need, 70" is fine, 72" is more than what I need but 76"+ is pushing it.

I think you might have to wait about 7 years before the (insert your own word) 'Skins come to town... we ran them out of here last season I believe.:weightlifter: I have season tickets and there will be some big time tailgating with the new stadium. You should come to a game sometime in the Manning era. If you make it to Indy we'll hook you up on QPS' credit cards. I hear he has unlimited credit!

That is the thing I looked at the most was any machine under the 70" wide category. I ended up buying a Takeuchi TL130 which is 67 1/2" from outer tooth to outer tooth on the bucket. Their already has been numerous jobs where it fit with only 2 or 3 inches of clearance on each side and it reassures me I made the correct decision in buying compact. That is a major downfall to the Deere, the 322 is their smaller sized machine but is very wide actually 72" without a bucket. The bucket would add about 2 too 4 inches too that measure so that it would be a tad wider then the tracks and then it is way too wide. Case messed up with their 450CT and that it is too wide for skid loader trailers too fit between the wheel fenders, big mistake on Cases design department.

You're talking about 2 different size machines. The 450CT is comparible to a TL140 or TL150. Case has the 420CT with a 66" bucket and the 440CT is 72" with a bucket. I don't know what size skid steer trailers you are speaking of, but I know guys who haul 84" wide Deere CT332's on them.

Junior M
08-14-2008, 09:43 PM
the standard for between the axle skidsteer trailers is 86 inches... standard for a bumper pull deckover like mine is 96 inches and the standard for a gooseneck is 102 inches
