Good news on the Stander! Hope they didn't charge you an arm and a leg.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that does that with the tarp. Unless I have leaves to the top of my sideboards, I can easily pull the weight of the tarp. It's like a dump truck, only not.

Can't believe we've been having so many nice days. Even this weekend looks good for cleanups.

Well it was supposed to be under warranty(only bought in april). Now its under question:confused: they are the biggest idiots

yeah normally I use barrels because of where I dump, but I through those out at my uncles place out by you then went and got the stander

Painted the inside of the dump trailer today. It really wasnt bad, but I like to keep it looking nice and I was painting other stuff also. I used rust oleum mixed with a paint hardner to see how it holds up.

Didn't you just re-paint that thing not to long ago?

yeah just this spring when I got it. It wasnt bad at all. Its just I like to keep things looking nice and I had paint hardner mixed with black rust oleum because I was painting things like my spreader, back rack and bumper(pics to come) and you can only use that stuff once you cant put the lid back on and expect to use it later on down the road. So I just dumped the rest of the can on and went at it:)

I try to keep my stuff looking nice but for me that never happens too busy with work, school and other stuff. Looks goof though. Off topic but how do you like your meyer plow I was about to buy a truck with one of it last weekend but some stuff came up and the truck bed was all rotted and they wanted too much.

I like mine. I have heard bad thing about the older e47's and such, but I like mine. Does the job. I am not plowing a foot of snow everytime I go out either usually just like 2-5 inches

Yeah I know. everything fits nicely on the 5x10. But maybe come spring I will get one.
You painted your bumper? Details please haha

Yeah the back bumper. It wasn't chrome just one of the painted gray ones and had a bit of rust starting. These chevys are known for rusty front and back bumpers so thats why I keep both chevys front and back bumpers undercoated and painted the back bumper of the new truck. I will get pics up soon

Just curious.

Yea I'm over in Philly so we don't really get over a foot of snow at all. A few little storms. Next truck will be 4x4 and probably will have a meyer plow. Can't justify a western or fisher.

Brad, did you ever think about buying a dump instead of another pickup.

Oh yeah thought about it long and hard. But I wanted a heavy pickup first. SInce I had the dump trailer and it does most jobs fine. I really do want a dump and that will probably be the next truck-porbably a 1ton duramax(but thats not for a while) As of now I do more basic landscape jobs rather than huge walls renovations etc. Also I haven't found a shop/house/plot of land yet and just don't have the room for a dump.

yeah not much more than us probably. westerens are not much more than meyers but I dunno really everyone here uses meyer and thats just what I decided

Man if that 5x10 works for you then don't get a bigger trailer. There are many benifits for a small trailer. I know my 20 footer can be a p.i.t.a to turn around. Your operation looks good man. Keep those trucks and run em into the ground.

because of the stander being really good of its mulching capabilities a way I found to use it best when cleaning up leafs on the lawn and giving the final cut is: going one direction I want to discharge everything towards to help put it all in one pile. Then back up while continuing to blow and discharge on the side.

All those lil clippings of leafs will clear right out of the way and looks amazing for a final cut

yeah its cause its not running but key is in. It just sucked dropping the pan cause its in a tight spot. I was able to save most of the fluid and didnt have to change the filter or gasket becasue I really didnt go no where but up the road and back so the tranny never really got warm

well 2 batteries were 80 a piece so thats 160. Cables were free they were welding lead, those cables are tough to find and usually a bit pricey. I brought a plastic tray from the auto store but it just wasnt sturdy enough so I fabed a metal one. The hold down was like $10 from the auto store. and the cable ends were like $5 a pack so I only had like $175-$200 in it.

I like to call it my shop yes:laugh: but its just my parents garage. Alot of the tools in there are mine and some are my dads.We just hooked up the big air compressor. But I have been looking for my own shop or place to store equipment in the summer for a while just cant find one. For the winter I keep the trailers and mowers at my uncles building for now so now my sisters car is in the garage along with my moms.

Probably getting a plow on the new truck soon. I wanted the same brand/mount plow so everything would match but I might be trying a something different here youll see:) Salter I think I will hold off till next year for the white truck been spendin to much...

I put my money back into the business, also save some for later purchases, also invest some. thats how you gotta do it. You cut more lawns than me I believe so if they are priced right you should be making good $$$. 99% of people using chainsaws should not be using chainsaws. I'm in the process of being trained by the safest and most effective operator I know. Don't just use a chainsaw because you think you can figure it out. Be careful. Something could happen so fast, you wouldn't even realize what happened.

yep thats what I do, offer it to everyone commercial and residental, there are some I dont have to do it on though

I do it at most places. I'm now looking for one of those really small Toro snow throwers, like the 3hp "snow shovels" to get out the truck to do sidewalks and steps. By the way, congrats on the 2nd truck and everything all set up with the plow. Very nice!

Me I drive that truck for plowing-because it has the spreader. But been usuing the white one for other stuff also and when we get a big storm my dad drives the white one. In the summer I will probably use the white one more and on bigger jobs, when needed, and for running around probably use the blue one.

Hey Brad could you get me some close up pictures of how your ATV plow angles. I'm in the process of fabricating one for my tractor, so far its coming along good. Got the plow part fabricated, I have a plan for the tractor side mount. I'm just stuck on how I should make it pivot, thinking a bar and pin type setup but not totally sure yet. Mostly word of mouth. I have done flyers-posted one one place and went door to door with a bunch. This year I plan on running an ad in the local flyer/for sale thing we have here, they have different ones for each each so I can basically market the areas I want.

Like what you have. I've got the quicky 32" dually and the hrc. had to go small to get in the gates...hopefully will get over 40"walkbehind or rider this summer depending on money...hope your season goes well.
