I bought a used 1999 White Outdoors ZT2250 mower with 80 hours on it. After initially starting it, I have to wait a couple of minutes with it idling before it will move when pushing levers forward or back. Also, the mower blades will stop turning while mowing about every 1/2 hour.

Are these common problems with this mower and what are the fixes for these problems?

I am not familiar w/ this unit but Blades stopping could be a bad connection on the clutch harness, it could also be a relay between your on off for the pto and the clutch for the deck. The slowness to move check hydro levels.

The hydro is full of oil. Is ther a check valve that is slow to close?
