View Full Version : new h2o feature we just did
pretty nice little house on the water, 2 lots. anyway, feature is all basalt, took us 2 days with our excavator, bobcat and crane truck. close to 4000 gallons or so, pump is a 120v at 120 gpm. (2) 2" main lines.

What kind of pricing method is used to building these water features? Would i just take the cost of the job wholesale and triple it?

Looks nice, but I have never been a big fan of rocks just sticking up out of the ground with a "traditional" style waterfall flowing over them. I guess I have never seen one like that in nature, which is what I always try to copy when doing conventional falls. They need to be buried in a hill for more realism, but just my opinion. core drilled boulders and fountains are a different story though entirely.
a lot of our pricing is done by how much the homeowner can afford. we set a budget, or they pick something similiar we have done, and we price from there. seems to be the easiest way. as far as the boulders go, this system seems to be the best looking and easiest to maintain.
