If it was found on craiglist, it's probably a scam, where they want you to western union them the money and they'll ship the machine to you.

Otherwise that's easily $10k+ worth of equipment right there.

I believe Volvo bought out the Scat Trac line. I don't know much about them, but I have had nothing but good experience with the larger Volvo construction equipment.
One thing for sure. You will want to get rid of those solid tires before they ruin your kidneys and shake out all of your teeth. Those things are terrible.

It probably isn't worth a whole lot. I don't think they're a real expensive unit when purchased new and I doubt their resale value is terribly high. I'd check used equipment sites and collaborate the price. I think the Volvo skids are fairly utilitarian, no frills machines.

I would agree with all the above. As long as the machine is mechanically sound though 7K OBO is cheap, even for a Volvo. If your not real particular this would appear to be a good deal. I would agree and lose the solid tires, you could put another 1K on it and still get your money back.

I have a Volvo MC90B.

I realy don't like mine at all. Its just got more bads than good. That being said. I think that $7K for a machine is a good deal. Almost a good enough deal to help you over look a machines short commings.

That scrap grapple alone should be worth 750-1000 bucks I would think. 7k is pretty cheap for anything let alone a late model machine, even if it is a little out of the mainstream. Would this likely be a Katrina machine? Seems like I've heard of some pretty crazy deals on machines down there that guys just needed to dump for whatever reason.

I ran a 110 this Summer for half a day. The power was good. You can keep the Volvo pilots and actually the rest of the machine, but for the right price you can overlook a lot.

I can't believe you haven't bought it yet, I would sell the bucket for $1000 to $1500, put on one of the 66" buckets I have $300 into, and sell the rig for 10-11k. with the air tire set then sell the solid ones. If its real and exists, its a steal and is probably sold by now.
