Hey guys I have just been offered the chance to buy another truck. My uncles 92 toyota pickup. It has a fire breathing 22re 4 banger under the hood. It is 4 wheel drive and is an automatic. It has a 7 foot bed???? It currently sports 185000 miles. He told me to offer him what I thought it was worth. oh ya it has good ac and heat. and a few small dents. what do yall think I could offer??

Unless you're going to use it to run errands, offroad or something the towing capacity of about 1000 pounds makes it pretty much useless for the lawn route. Although that is a bada** truck. Those 22re's are bullet proof. Makes me think of Back to the Future. I love that movie. Anyways let us know what you decide to do.

well I need a dailly driver and if I have like a really small job of planting and pine straw work I could use it for that. ANd he claims to be getting 28mpg in it. and I will be using it for a hunting truck for when I am just with me an da buddy. Other than that I can use my old dodge which will go just about anywhere but stays hooked to the trailer mainly. what should I offer him for it.

It will tow a small ZTR/walk behind on a small trailer easy.
Other than that it'll bog down and suffer on the hills... The truck wil last forever if you change the POLs. The 22RE is a beast.

Toyota trucks are good aslong the frame isn't rusted out. I know quite a few guys with a Toyota truck fetish especially the older trucks

Either he's good at lying or bad at math. Being 4WD and an automatic you'd be lucky to get 18 mpg city and 22 highway. If the truck were 2WD and a stick, you might get 28 mpg but even that would be pushing it.

In good shape it's worth at least $2000. Too bad it's an auto thou, they run alot better with the 5 spd. I've owned many toy trucks over the years, and currently have a 89 with 198,xxx miles on it. Makes a great estimate truck and errand truck.
Look to get around 15-19 MPG
