Looks wonderful - curious as to what kind of height you have at the WF? Pics make it hard to tell - very slickly done

what about when the birch roots puncture your liner?

Won't happen. The roots are below grade of the stream and falls and the Birch roots will grow down along the pond liner. Have ripped out alot of ponds that are 10 plus years old and it's amazing how roots tend to follow the least resistance, which would be between the soil and liner not thru it.

The main fall is about 3 ft. from original grade.
