Going to be working all this week after dark to get solid plywood sides on, all my racks transferred, etc. Prob. going to get a landscape box for the front, etc. Then I just have to get a brake controller for the truck, and she will be set! Prob. be out mowing with me by next week!:)

Mitch, I think you need a new trailer :laugh::laugh:

Seriously, nice trailer. I'm glad you didn't go with the 7x12 Carry-On. This should serve you better. 16' trailer looks a lot better behind your truck than that small one!

Trailer looks nice!! From reading your signature, it looks like you are gonna need some more equipment to fill that baby up! You know the old saying? I would rather buy more tolls and equipment than pay uncle Sam!

Thanks. The TrimmerTraps are simple. Great product as well!

Thanks for all of the nice comments, they are appreciated!

BTW, we should have the trailer all rigged up with the racks by Sunday evening, ready for Monday mowing:)

congrats Mitch. I'll echo what some guys have said here. I started out with a 5x8 and then moved to a 6x10. From that I moved up to a 7x16 and thought that was plenty big. Then I got my 18ft that I have now and dang it if couldn't use a 20-22ft! Either way, it'll serve you well! Get those brakes hooked up!! Keep up the good work little buddy.

You think that is long? try pulling my 24ft (not counting the tounge of the trailer) deckover equipment trailer with a crew cab long bed dodge!! that is long!! it is long enough with our truck (same thing you have mitch except a crew cab) btw nice trailer.. your rig looks alot better with that long trailer than it did with your little one.

any progress getting it set up last week?

Not really. Been busy busy busy!

I take it with me full time for mowing, and just throw the handhelds in the back of the truck.

Here is a list of racks/holders that will eventually be mounted:

TrimmerTrap Trimmer Rack (Holds 3)
Backpack Blower Rack
Hand Tool Rack
Some Kind of Landscape Basket, tool box, or storage container
Two signs; both coming off the old trailer
*Possibly Fast Straps*

He probably forgets where he puts his equipment because the new trailer is so much bigger.

How about now? lol.

Working on it. We've had a lot of rain lately, and my phone just won't stop ringing!

Yes I would love to see some pics too! Btw, have you decided on a new mower yet?

I will get some ASAP. Nothing has changed, I really need to find an hour to get the racks put on, but there is just no time this week, I have to work as much as possible to try to get as much as I can before the rain.

New mower next spring. Possibly a 60" ZTR, then I will have a 60", 48", 32", 21". Perfect!

He probably forgets where he puts his equipment because the new trailer is so much bigger.

The new trailer is crazy compared to the last one. Nothing is in the back of the truck besides debris, etc.

Mitch, Sounds like a great set-up you have planned for. Very versatile! I have been following your threads for a while and it seems like you always seem to think things over for a while before you make a big purchase. I do the same thing, I am 15 also and I see way to many kids and adults that just blow money on equipment and not really think about how it will work for them. Good luck and keep up the great work! Btw I love your truck! How do you like the 6.0 gas??

Thanks. I try to invest my money as wisely as possible.

The truck, i love it. The 6.0 is not terrible. About 10mpg towing trailer. I just bought a TSC black tool box for the truck, which was a great purchase.

Shoot me your # and we can talk sometime.

Trimmer racks were just mounted last night... finally!

Not much has changed, there will be more racks going on here and there, but I just don't have much time to play with it right now.

BTW, I bought a toolbox for my truck:):):)

I'll get some updated pics soon.

I was about to ask the same thing...

Looks good..

I am just wondering but why did you decide to put the racks on the front? Doesnt that ruin the whole putting a tool box or whatever up there?

Thanks for the pics mitch, looks great!! I bet it saves you a little bit of time and energy, not having to cram everything on to a tiny trailer!

Yep, just got them a few weeks ago.

I like having the side rails for whatever. I may eventually put a side gate on the trailer, and having the racks in front makes that possible. A tool box/basket can be mounted directly behind the racks if I choose.

Thanks for the pics mitch, looks great!! I bet it saves you a little bit of time and energy, not having to cram everything on to a tiny trailer!

Thanks. Yep, I don't know how I got by with that 5x10:hammerhead::hammerhead::dizzy::dizzy:
