Ive been doing landscaping for about 4 years and know alot of the maintenence part of it its just business I need help with can anyone explain to me how to bid a yard like what kind of things do I take into account or should I just charge an hourly rate?

Well...to keep it short and sweet, always ask yourself this question when bidding a job...

What does it cost me to do the job?

Then bid accordingly.

Take into account also how long it will take you, and how far out of your way you have to go to get there.

My dad gave me this advice when I bought his company, "Do I want it? Do I need It?" I ask my self this question at every bid. And too me it helps.

Look at the time it will take, are there hills valleys, is it a PITA, do I have other customers around so that I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone...

Talk with the customer. LEARN personalitys, once you have mastered this everythign you touch will turn to gold,,,,

Remember if it doesn't make sence..... someone's lieing.....
