View Full Version : Need to buy a trimmer before this weekend

Boiled it down to a Shin T242 or a Redmax 2601s. I use it for 2 fenced in acres at my home. Im sick of junk from big box stores. T 242 is around $269, Red is about $280. I would like to under $300. T.Y.

Any Lesco's nearby, someone on here said they were discounting Kawasaki trimmers.

I just got the T242. Its great. Pretty light and lotsa power.

Yeah I got a shindaiwa 242x this morning. The dealer was alot closer with the shin than the one with redmax. Ill be cutting grass this weekend! Thanks for all the help.:usflag:

I do, and I'm just a homeowner. I think I'm charged slightly more for fertilizer, seed, etc., because my quantities are always small in comparison to those of the landscapers who buy by the pallet, but it seemed to me that the machinery costs didn't vary. By the way, the guys & gals behind the Lesco counter always impressed me as knowing a lot more about what I needed than those in other stores selling similar products. You should visit one just for the education you might get.

Yes, and they don't need to know you don't have a lawn biz.
