Hello...........well, I am a single lady and I was mowing using my Exmark Lazer Z. I ran over a limb about 1 inch in diameter and my mower quit working. By that I mean, the blades are turning but it won't go forward or backward. I jacked it up and saw there was a small piece of wood wedged in what I call a spindle.....it's the small black round thing that the belt travels on. I got out the stick.........but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions before I call someone to come and pick it up and repair it? I have had this mower for about 6 or 7 years with no problems. My late husband replaced a belt that drives the blades before but that is about it. Great luck with this mower until yesterday. I bet you that I look for limbs next time and not run over them. :-)

Thanks!
Debbie

did you get your problem fixed?

sounds like the belt came off or broke. was the belt still on the pulley that the stick was stuck in? if that is the case, they aren't the easiest to replace on a floor jack.
