OK, this week is the start of the NFL season and I know there are some pretty serious fans on this site. I am anxious to see what everyone's predictions are for the upcoming season.

I am guessing that no one predicted the Pats to go 16-0 or the Giants to win the Super Bowl, so let's hear them....

Here are my predicitions....

1.) Tom Brady is hit by a bus driven by 10 supermodels he used to date and the Patriots go 0-16

2.) Adrian Peterson runs for over 2,000 yards but 0 TD's

3.) Eli Manning and Peyton Manning both retire and decide to do commercials together instead

4.) Ricky Williams from the Miami Dolphins wins the league MVP

5.) The Pittsburgh Steelers win the Super Bowl over the Dallas Cowgirls by a score of 104-2

1/4 of all players will be arrested at least once for a criminal offense. lol it seems possible

The Rams finish in the bottom 5 of all teams - what a surprise.

Did you guys catch the Oreo commercial last night with the brothers vs sisters? I see this as the next wave of obnoxious commercials....but either way, those are better than the darn Dems vs Repub commercials

True to that......they do and I love it. I really want another championship. I have been raised into a colts fan. I watched Eric Dickerson play for them when I was in Kindergarden not having a clue who he was. I love the fact that all those painful years are paying off year in and year out. I would really like a couple more championships before peyton and the core group of guys say a final farewell :cool2:

NFL is commercialized, and anymore....it's somewhat boring & predictable. It lacks the excitement that quality college football offers......probably for the same reason why NASCAR has replaced pro football as America's most popular sport.

I could be wrong, but the numbers don't lie. :nono:

Hope you all watch the BCS Orange Bowl. It's the last college bowl game before the National Championship game. (gotta wonder how a #11 or #10 team was asked to play in the Orange Bowl), but I'll take bets on the "underdog" HAWKEYES against a higher-rated GA Tech team.

Anybody else? :walking:

Oh, sure I'll watch the Orange Bowl. :waving:

Besides the Bengals winning the AFC north yesterday, we're doubly excited here about the #3 U. of Cincinnati Bearcats going undefeated this year & being in the Sugar Bowl New Year's Night.
But we had to deal with a little distraction of head coach Brian Kelly jumping ship & heading off to become the next casualty of South Bend.

But that's OK...I understand Urban Meyer is quitting #5 Florida after this coming Sugar Bowl for the reason of... 'health concerns'.
