I have a Honda 3813 lawn tractor and have always used 10W-40 in the engine as that is what is specified in the shop manual. I noticed in the shop manual that the transmission also calls for 10W-40. Are they saying to use the 10W-40 engine oil in the transmission or could the transmission 10W-40 be a multi grade gear lube?
