The hydro unit on my walker mower(16 years old) is leaking a lot of fluid. I am not sure exactly where it is leaking from but the fluid cup is completely empty. It looks to be coming from the shaft area that leads to the pulley. I have not been able to locate a used part online as of today and i also don't want to buy a new unit.

My questions are:
- anyone know who I could send the unit to to be rebuilt
- is there a rebuild kit I could buy?

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Check out this link. Fixer67 helped me a great deal with my leaking hydros and after the repair, they are still going strong.

I am pretty sure that you can buy new seals for the hydro pump but a total rebuild is pretty much worthless. By the time it needs to be rebuilt most of the insides will need replaced and really wont cost much less than a totaly new hydro according to my dealer.

I had my mechanic replace a shaft seal and it has worked great since then. It was about $45 labor.
