I have a Kawasaki fh500v. My employee used an impact gun to tighten up the nuts to the starter and has broken two of the bolts inside the ( i believe ) aluminum block. Brought it to my reputable mower shop and the owner said eh tried heating the bolts and then tried removing but they would'nt budge. Says the engine is now shot. . I asked about converting to electric start but is not very cost effective. Is there anyone that has repaired something like this or had a repair like this done? Thanks

I've had some seemingly hopeless broken bolts backed out by taking the piece to a welding shop and having them do the "miracle rod" thing to the bolts. I haven't got the slightest idea what they did exactly, but the bolts were out when I picked the equipment up. Might want to give one of them a call. Good luck.

Do you mean he was tightening the bolts with an impact and they snapped? I don't understand how someone can snap bolts in an engine by tightening nuts. And more than once at that.
If you are talking about the bolt threads being snapped off in the engine. They should come right out using the appropriate drill bit and easy out. Since the head part is snapped off, there should be no torque left on the threaded part stuck in the engine. It's just matter of getting something to grip for removal. That is what the easy out is for.
