Sounds like the solenoid, but that is an educated guess. Check your connections from the battery, check the battery, if you have a floor mounted on/off switch, check the connections there. All these connections need to be Clean. It sounds like a dirty connection or bad solenoid, if you can get to the solenoid, clean the connections. I'll bet it's in between the frame just behind the cab under the dump body. A REAL PITA to get to and work on if you can not get the body up.
If cleaning the connections up do not work, take the solenoid to a auto parts store and get a replacement.
As for lifting the body, depending on make and model, there are 3 ways I have done this. 1. A gantry crane to pull the body up, 2. a bobcat skid steer to lift a side a few inches at a time and block the frame with RR ties, then work the other side, untill it is high enough to get under safely, 3. take it to the dealer.
Once you have it back working, cover all the connections with dielectric grease.
Good Luck

Hi,
I probably should not jump in on this one, but here goes.
The click noise is probably a solenoid. If it is there will be a cable (like a battery cable) leading into it and another leading from it. There should be at least one small wire attaching to the side of it. The brass plate/washers inside are probably scorched and not making contact. A Ford automotive starter solenoid (say year model 1980) will work if it will mount.
Good luck,
