I was looking for any post of GRAVELY, but I couldn’t find one
I have a old 36”Gravely I got it last year I got it a good price ( I Think)

1- When the grass is tall do not cut (engine almost stop)
2- The same happen when the grass is wet

What do you guys think the problem is? Any suggestion I will
appreciate

Thank you

Tony

Is it a two wheeled tractor? Or a rear engine 4 wheel tractor?
Can you find anything on the engine?

Hi Fish
I do not know how old it is. But it has the lever of speed in the top one, and not below, like the newer one …you have to loose one hand to be able to change speed or to put it in neuter, (not with your legs) do you think that there is a form of update, because truly I like this mower is indestructible I call it (the Tank)

Here is more imformation serial # (2-F) FB 460V-AS20 and another serial # witch is on the mower 00618257

Thank you
Tony

Does it look like there has been any rigging on the carb linkages.
It sounds like the linkage to the gov might be not right. Of course
trying a new plug may improve the performance some. My
reference says it calls for a Champion cj-14 or equivalent. Is
it hard to start? Follow any wires from the coil to see if it leads
to points which may be burnt. Let me know what you find.

Go to the club section of yahoo, there is a Gravely site there. More info and help than you could ever hope for.

Are the blades sharp? How about the drive belts are they tight and in good shape?
