Lawn Freak I am guessing you used your YTH 180, but how do you turn around?

I used the YTH 180. It takes a while to turn it around but it also turns pretty tight. Thanks for the positive feedback. (please note I wasn't using my striping roller on this yard.)

I have a question. I see alot of people posting pics of their "stripes". Why? Nice work? What work? Its just sitting on a mower. Pics of renovations, installs ok. Stripes? I just dont get the point. No offense meant but come on.

it looks nice and it seperates us from the look of a reguler homeowner also it just make us feel better about our work. i have got lawns just because the stripes some custemers dont notice it and some love it(other then the one i read on here that the guy was called back because he missed every other pass :laugh::laugh:)

I think a lawn looks best without stripes when it looks like one big green carpet.
But I will say you guys are really good with your mowers and as stated above it's to make that point, good work!

I love looking at pics of stripes. I work in a factory and see guys bragging on there welds all the time, other welders check them out as well. I think mowing will be a passion for me thats why I enjoy seeing them. And you should be proud of a job well done. Keep em coming.:

Stripes make the lawn look more manicured. It shows that you don't just mow*go, you pay attention to the little things to make the place look great.

some areas of the country you make more money if you mow and go. I know I do. Nice lawns by the way. I like that cut of YTH 180 way better than the 21''s

Thanks guys. I probably won't be using my YTH 180 after this winter though except for tow behinds and plowing. I'll be getting a quick 36 with landscaper pro pack and sulky.

i dont think that i could not leave a stripe if i tried. wouldnt even know were to stop. if a customer asked me not to put stripes in the yard i wouldnt know what to do. i guess i would have to mow in circles.

Looks great. I have been mowing for 15 years and me personally I don't get the striping thing either. I have 54 residential customers a week and 15 commercial and in the 15 years I have been in business I have never had 1 person ask me about striping. I cut the grass and if I leave them great if not sorry. We do a quality job all the way down to picking up trash etc. SOme guys go a little overboard with it. I have a guy that works for me that loves to do it he calls them PIMP lines:rolleyes: I am not bashing anyone for doing this just not my cup of tea.

Take Care
