I might be putting a bid in for my neighborhood for watering newly planted trees. Can someone direct me to a web sight or info on how much and the proper watering methods for newly planted trees. The tree size are around 1-1.5inch caliber and right now are Maples and redbuds. Thanks

Dr. Ed Gilman is a great source for tree care info;

great thanks. I am amazed how hard it is to find a company to water and maintain newly planted trees. Hopefully I found a niche in the market. Our neighborhood loses about %40 of newly planted trees a year.

I read an article about a company that offered watering of landscaped areas only. It was in one of the drought stricken areas, I think. They just converted a couple of their tanks for that purpose...during the summer. They're making money at it. I'd say it's definitely a niche, depending on your location.

I hope so. If it works out I let you know. I am surprised that some of the larger companies may sub the work to me. They just don't want to deal and it will help them with their warranties.
