Hey Guys,

I was at a seminar a while back, and they briefly mentioned the correlation between the quality of your water source, and the effectivness of your weed control.

Do any of you check the quality of your water, as far as PH, hardness, Aklinity, ect? If so, what do you use to correct it?

I do. That is where a pH meter, EC meter and litmus paper comes in handy. It is a given here that tap water is full of minerals and slightly alkaline. For RoundUp, I add ammonium sulfate to neutralize the minerals. For fungicide and insecticides, I use LI700 in the tank mix. However, if Certainty, metsulfuron, or Image are being applied, I just add MSO. Acidic additives are harmful to the activity of those products.
