I've been putting between 4,200 and 4,800 miles per year on my truck as solo operation. I'm curious how this compares.
My work includes-
1. 400 once or twice a year aeration customers
2. 50 weekly mows-26weeks + -
3. 1-200 misc. clean-ups/shrub trims
I do not haul clippings so I make only rare trips to the landfill.
Back in 1997 we bought a new 7.3 diesel Ford F-350 dump and are still using it right now. Has only 32,000 miles in 5 yrs. So an average of like 7000 miles a year for about 110 maintenance accounts.

I PUT ABOUT 15-20000 A YEAR. WE DO A LOT OF COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTS FOR ONE CUSTOMER. 50 A WEEK SOLO, QUITE IMPRESSIVE.

We put a min. of 35,000 miles per year per truck. New trucks come and go each year. No truck is older than 3 years no peice of equipment is older than 3 years. Last year one of our small maint. work trucks (2000 F-150 XLT ) had in one year 42,000. I have one truck going somewhere 7 days a week.
25-30 thousand ,but that does include trips to the flea etc

For business, about 5000 miles a year.

I'm fortunate to have a pretty tight route. I'd say I do proballly between 4000-5000 miles per year.

30-50K per truck. I dunno how we do it because our routes are pretty tight. But I guess it's the amount of houses we fit into a day or something. Anyway, that's what we've done the last 2 years.

Sky-
I use the 1 ton dump to drive to work, 7 miles round trip, 5 days a week. Same truck is used to haul 2 tractors from site to site. Most of our work is within city limits. Most personal driving is with the wife's Tahoe.

Nice setup Paul......I would use the wife's but she would shoot me after I brought it back on empty! That would be nice though cause I hate having to unhook the trailer every evening and hookup in the morning.........bet I waste 1/2 an hour or more everyday doing it!:(
