muffler ?

I have two '96 model dixies with '22 hp kohlers on them and both need mufflers.I recently bought a used muffler off of a 25 hp and bolted it on one of them.It seems to be running fine.Will it develope a problem later on and is there a hp reduction or increase by using it?Thanks,John.

As long as the exhaust is not sucking air because of a exhaust leak at the head you should be fine. The muffler should have no effect on power.
