In general this is the scene at the majority of Midsouth fuel stations.

We need to line up all members of the Media, Wall street gas speculators one bullet to each in the Cranium would straighten the economy right up.:usflag:

Gas has risen only buy ten cents, Hurricane Ike is in the gulf of Mexico, and gas speculators have managed to create a fear of $1.75 price increase in gasoline.

Diesel has lowered again to $3.86, as gasoline price's increased today.

Yeah but all the fear-stricken lines of panic-filled drivers at the stations now
isn't helping either, and I would bet most if not all of the engines in the cars
waiting in line are running...

That nobody ever sees the irony in it, to wait for hours in a line of cars
to get fuel, all the while sitting in the comfort of the cabin as the BIG V8 runs...
They complain that we're suffering from the prices, but the cabin stays cold, hear?
Lets not forget that every 2nd car in that line is not really a car but a SUV / van / truck.

That consumes petrol and depletes inventory too.
Yes sir SUV nation, roll on.

Thou we do agree, it's just the usual load of crap.

It's a supply allocation problem caused by the disruption to refining and pipeline facilities in a system already running near capacity. You see, they don't want to die and have oil spill everywhere and so they wisely shut down refineries and pump stations and such well BEFORE the storm arrives. It's compounded by people topping off more and making sure they don't run out of gas if there is a shortage. Think about how much more gas it takes to keep the average tank 25% fuller for 5 million people in a city. That alone draws down the inventories considerably.

Temper tantrums don't help. Knowledge does.
