Gravely Pro 1336-G, pro steer controls. Less than 150 hours, residentially use only. Velky and Wright Grass Gobbler grass catcher. Like new. Replacement value of mower, velky and grass catcher is close to $3200.00. Would like to get $1600.00.

Yes, It is a belt drive. The 1336 is a 36 inch mower deck with a 13hp Kawasaki 2cyl. motor.

Another bumb for a good looking mower at a decent price - especially when you price out the options.

I have the exact same mower and I was thinking about getting the velkie...My dealer talked me out of it for some reason...I wonder if the 13 Hp Kawasaki engine is not strong enough to handle pulling an operator...what has your experience been when using the velkie?

Thanks in advance for any replies...

I always use a sulky.
It's simply faster.
Plus, at the end of the day you'll be less fatigued.
The 13 has no problem pulling in 5th gear as slow as you want.
It's a torquey little v-twin.
I'm about 200 pounds.

Magic...thanks for the prompt reply. I will look into getting one...Velke is the way to go right...OR...Jungle Jim...?

It handles the velky with plenty of power. It took me some getting used to to be able to handle the mower on the velky. I do not use it on small tight spaces as the turns really whip you around. It is useless in an situation where you have to back up. Its great on long straight aways. The Gravely really goes fast in the higher gears.

Is the Velke X2 the same as the one branded as a Gravely sulky?
I believe the Ariens webpage has a model number of 78805100...I want to be sure and get the one recommended for this mower...GR1336FXP
