I went to start my mower yesterday and it was smoking like crazy so i checked the oil and drained it and there was 2 liters of gas in the oil. I changed the oil and it is still smoked a lot. why is this?

my wright stander just did this,I went to start it and it wouldnt turn over then about a quart of gas shot out the exhaust with a huge flame. Tried to take the float pin out yesterday and the post cracked so I had to order a new carb 220.00 (ouch).

The float is stuck. Unless you do a carb rebuild, it will continue to leak.
After changing the oil, you are burning out the residual oil/fuel mix that went through the valve area to get through the rings and into the sump. It will stop (although, you may not want it to, because it deters mosquitoes).

I suspect it's the ethanol eating at rings / seals in the carb.

Yeah...
One of my Kohlers just started to really flooding out when left overnight,
it's so bad that if left sitting for a bit more than a day it gets gas all in the
engine and shoots out like a quart out of the exhaust when TRYING to start it.
Because gas leaks aside it's just a PITA to start!
I hate it, but what can you do, the easy solution is to turn
that inline fuel valve off at the end of the day (or after every use).

Hi,
Topsites has a point on the ethanol.
I agree with the stuck float/needle (the needle could have a rubber tip).
The motor will smoke untill you burn the oil out of the muffler (3 minutes at full speed).
To help better, it would good to know the model of mower and the motor size/model.
Good luck,
