just have to paint it and letter it, as you can see the door only opens so far with gravity so i hope the leaves will open it further.

Looks good, One thing I did differently on mine was to bungie the tarp on top, so I could pull it back quickly if we need to throw sticks or other debris that cant go through the loader in, over the sides when doing fall cleanups.
Not sure if your design would let you even throw them in from the back?
Looks good, just a suggestion.

yeah i just didnt want the bungee cord look but i know what you mean,in a pinch i could throw some sticks and such through the slide door opening if i had too...or i could just throw them in the back of the PU right?

BIGW that looks great .where did you get that mesh tarp?

Not to hijack his question, but, I priced out heavy duty dump truck tarps and they were big bucks. I ended up buying a plant tarp at the local nursery, and it works great on mine. It has lasted through much more abuse than I expected it would.
Sorry to hijack.:waving:

Don't paint the sign...paint the whole thing black and get some nice aluminum 2' x 4' signs made.....probably only cost you $250. Really nice looking too.

I think it looks great but here is my concern as you alluded to...the door. The loader is going to pack the leaves to the rear. My concern would be that the weight of the leaves will not be enough to push the door any further open. If that is the case, the leaves may get wedged in the door and not fall out. I may very well be wrong and over thinking this..

When it's pulled forward the weight of the leaves should push the door open enough to let them fall out. dosn't look like the door is that heavy...

bigw, I have the same design of door on my leaf box it works fine just make sure you don't back up when dumping only drive forward. I use tiedown straps to hold my door shut, unhook them, lift the dump until it's all the way up then just drive ahead obit for everything to fall out.

Could always install a set of car hood/trunk struts to possibly help the door open. I know they have some heavy duty ones used to tilt up sled trailers.

If the trailer was square it could be an 8x8. But seeing that would be a rare occasion.......
