View Full Version : Making walkbehind faster

I have a Ferris Comfort Control DD with the overide steering. My question is the cruise control bar has a bold with a nut that stops the speed bar from going down further keeping you at a certain speed. This allows you to still have the steering overide which I don't use. When I take the bolt out it allows the mower to go faster, but my question is will this do any harm to the hydros or the mower, or should it be fine.

Thanks for the help

I don't know if I'd attempt it, bolts usually serve a purpose....

I agree, but it seems like the bolts there to adjuts the cruise control speed. I didn't design the mower so Im not sure. I guess I was just wondering if running the cruise control faster would do any harm to the hydros. I did email the ferris service department to see i I could adjust the Cruise Control speed.
