Question ????

So I went to bid a job today at a car repair shop. Normal cracks and oil spots no big deal..... but where the garbage truck turns into the driveway it has worn groves in the asphalt ?? The owner asked if I can fix this.

My question is can I patch it ? Will that hold ? I was gonna use some commercial grade cold patch, I've used it before to fill in pot holes and its worked fine.

He told me to let him know, so any help or ideas would be very appreciated. Thanks Paul

Any cold patch, is a band-aid fix. Then add a garbage truck on top of that too. I don't think it would hold up for a long time, so make sure they know, there will be no guarantees with this fix. The grooves should be cut out, base repacked, and then have a Hot patch. I don't guarantee any of my cold patches, and if your upfront about that, most don't have any problem trying it.

Thats kinda the way I explained it to him. He just wants it quick and cheaply fixed. I told him it will be like the "band-aid" fix. Anyway thanks for all the help and ideas, guess I'll just be honest with him and let him make the call. Thanks Paul
