View Full Version : Pricing a Exmark Lazer

I'm looking into purchasing a '99 Lazer Z with 52&quot; deck and 12 hours on it. Dealer said he'd give me a deal since it's offseason. Was curious on what everybody thinks is a fair price for this machine. Or if anybody could tell me what they paid for a similar machine. I'm starting out this spring in the lawn care business, so trying to line up my equipment now. <br> By the way this is a very informative site, glad to have found it. <br> Thanks in advance for your help.

It has the 22hp Kohler. I plan on paying cash.

Jason, I just saw a machine like you're interested in in St.Louis and they were asking $7000 cash. Hope this helps, Lynn Gorrell

Gorrel, thanks for the info. I just checked out a page that somebody sent me by email. The place is in Dallas area and they list the machine for 6500$. But I live in Washington so probably will have to pay something like the 7000 that you mentioned. If anybody wants the addy for the Dallas dealer, I'll post it.

Jason, I just purchased a new Toro 44&quot; Compact ZTR. This is the same as the Exmark. I think 7000.00 is a little high for a demo. I priced several of these things and Toro was not the least expensive but I liked the mower the best. I paid 6000.oo for it new. I think I would shop around if I were you.<p>----------<br>Jeff<br>

Be aware there are two sizes of ZTR in both Toro and Exmark. I think the machine in question is a Lazer Z, not a Lazer Z HP. The HP would be comparable to the compact Toro.<p>And, (don't ask me why) Toro's are $500-800 less for the same machine than Exmark.

Jason, I bought one with the same specs in June. Machine was new with a purchase price of $6695.

Jason, a lot of Torro dealers have 12 months same as cash. Ride free for 12 months, then pay for the mower. Use the banks money, not yours.

Thanks everybody for the info. I put together a package (lazer Z, trimmers etc...)and gave my list to a dealer. Asked him to come up with best price.<br> He called me this evening gave me the rundown on prices. The Lazer Z (52&quot; 18hp not 22 like I thought it was)has 12 hours on it. He'll sell it to me for $5841. I figure that's a decent price after receiving all the info from the good people of this forum. Think I'm gonna jump on it. Also priced out Shindaiwa blowers, string trimmers, edgers etc.. Can get everything I need for just under 8k. I have one other dealer I'm preparing a list for before I decide. The other dealer carries Walker and Gravely ztr's and echo trimmers, blowers, etc..

this past spring i bought a exmark lazer z 52&quot; cut with 18 hp with 97 hrs from a dealer for 5000. was an immaculate machine, in beautiful shape, and my dealer warrantied it for 30 days, never had a problem, knock on wood. for this area it was a pretty good deal<p>----------<br>Stephen<br>

Wow! That seems like a great price.... But the engine seems a little small for a 52"

JK! Thought it might be fun to bring back an 8 year old thread. How times change!
