getting new contracts

I would like to know what you guys put on your proposals when you hand them to a new prospect,say for mulching,mowing ect. Is it typed or store bought. Is it simple or professional. Say you go to a commeercial account (walmart). What exactly do you give them to get the work? Any information would be helpful.

i have (2) types of proposals I hand out. The first one is a 2 page carbon copy proposal for estimates I can give on the spot, I.E Tree removals, minor landscape jobs, etc. The second proposal is one that I use off the computer for larger landscape jobs that require more thought into the estimate. Those proposals I usually fax or mail.
