Help me identify this grass

will appreciate if some one can help me identify this grass. It is invading a large section of the lawn, it has very long root system and we have been unable to kill it. Thanks.

Unfortunately, your pics don't show very good close-ups of the grass' leafing structure, so, frankly, it's not real easy to make out exactly what you've got there.

One picture of the massive root structure sort of looks like a zoysia root mass. If this is true....you'll need tons 'o good luck getting rid of it!
Zoysia roots have been recorded as going as deep as 6 FEET deep (only in certain "lighter and more porous" soil types, though!)

thanks Marcos, you may very well be in the right path. We do have zosia near by. I will try again to get some better pictures and will post them again.
