Going from 97 ranger to 2008 F250 :)
Going from a 6'8" plow to a 8' Plow  will be installed in two days
Little hauling to max hauling
Going from 16 mpg to 10 mpg:confused:
It's been 6 years for me working with the ranger. It is time for it to retire.
My new gift. From me to me. I think I got a good deal also.

what did she run you? gas engine?

09-21-2008, 11:23 PM
it is a 5.4L gas
XLT package
Snow Package and tow command were the only two i was interested in.
But it has around 2500.00 of extra options that were already in the truck. The window sticker has a 41k MSRP. I paid 28800 for the truck plus T.T.L.
They will be installing a 8' western for me for 3895.
IN my openion, I think that was a good deal.I don't think I got ripped. The dealer probably made some money, I don't mind that.At least when I go there for service, they remember me as the guy who bought their truck in 1 hour rather than the other guy who took forever.

That's a sharp truck!

Hope no more hurricanes come through and raise gas prices again, for your sake :dizzy:

Nice upgrade! You will love it i'm sure. I wish I had a little more time to look before I got mine, the tow command is the only option mine didnt come with. BTW I think you got a great deal, mine stickered at 36ish and I paid 31k in 06.

i think you got a good deal.

If you have any questions ,let me know.
Buy the way.I am having the dealer install a spray in bed liner for 495 .
And they will spray underneath the cab for an antirust film or chemical, paint protection thing, interior protection thing also....Never wanted the whole package but,the delivery guy was so nice.He wanted 1263 for the whole thing. But I got it for 400 dollars.
I worked in car sales for 2 years.Let me tell you.that was one of the nicest transactions ever.I know how the whole PLAY works.I had a solid idea on the price of the extras, since I used to sell them.
All in all. I like the truck and I know it is gonna produce more profits for me than the ranger.

I think you should get a blizzard power plow. There great, no other plow like it.

09-22-2008, 09:16 PM
have them spray the liner under the wheel wells also

09-22-2008, 09:17 PM
Good looking truck! I love the F250's.

the dealer will install a western or fisher only.

I will ask the delivery manager to do that when I drop off the truck tomorrow.

09-22-2008, 10:15 PM

09-22-2008, 10:31 PM

Thanks to all you guys for your positive input. It is all because of the hard work and the good decisions that got me to be able to get this truck.
I am going with one of my friends tomorrow to see if we can find him a new one also.
He has 300,000 miles on his dodge ram 2500 .his truck was a good source of income.but the dodge dealer couldn't find him a 08 2500 ram with a V8 engine:confused: they had the deposit for a full week and still no luck. So with all the 08 incentives and rebates,he will check the f250 tomorrow.
I think that if you treat your truck good,it will do the same back to you.

I just got an ultramout 8' western installed.the truck's front end barely dipped down.I will post some pictures soon.
After I took the the whole thing off,you can barely tell that there is a plow mount there. I love it.
PS I ended up paying 4200 for the plow not 3895.

Are you interested in selling the ranger? I am interested if I could get more info.

10-06-2008, 12:51 AM
Now that is one sharp truck..

Are you interested in selling the ranger? I am interested if I could get more info.

Here is my dilemma with the ranger
1-I don't have room for it.
2-I have no idea how much it is worth.

It has like a ton of new parts in it (well,it was my bread and butter) so I had to keep it up to shape.
I don't think that anybody would give me enough money for it,so might as well keep it.More like a back up truck. It runs fine and has an excellent plow.
The only reason I got the f250 was the price.Couldn't let it pass.
So,now I have no idea whether to keep it or not.

I also got myself a new truck this year. I took advantage of the chevy employee pricing deal and got a great deal on my 2500 hd!
