I have been seeing a few of these at some new accts that I am maintaining they are a Buckner type I need to know what fitting I will need to do the blowouts as all my other blowouts that I do are either a spigout or 1\2 or 3\4 plug have never had to deal with one of these yet so any info will be appreciated.

You need a key to plug the compressor into; I believe the Buckner key was different than
all the others. We switched to RB 33DLRC to make winterize quick.

Nothing like a few different QC types to make the humble boiler drain look good.

Damn straight on that: we used to carry about five keys and could never remember which fit which.

Think of the key as a cap . Simply unscrew it and you generally have 3/4 or 1 inch male threads . Screw on an adaptor and blow it out .

This is going to sound weird unless you have tried it, but you can thread a 3/4" cut-off nipple into most 1" QC's and a 1/2" nipple fits into most 3/4" QC's. Now, I don't recommend standing right next to the QC while you are blowing in this manner, and having the pressure turned down to 60psi or less is VERY advisable, it will get you in and out of a property if you can't get the QC to unscrew and you don't have a key.

By the way, the pictured key is probably the one key you can leave out an assortment, since there should be a single-lug key that will also fit that QCV

Single lug key into a 33DLRC leaks like crazy, also RB and Buckner keys
are different sizes and leak also, Du Wayne. :hammerhead:

Why the leaks? It's all about the end of the proper key fitting within the rubber 'gland' - The single-lug/double-lug keys were from the same model, same rubber parts. It was about using certain keys to set part-circle heads in varied orientations. (Or something like that - I never paid the things much mind)

Hey, I can still remember the catalog pages. If a 3/4-inch QCV comes in both single-lug and double-lug versions, and the rubber is the same in each one, then the single lug key should fit both. Simple logic, Bubba.

The dual lug locks better, can be field serviced; note lock bolt.

Are y'all sure y'all isn't Southerners?Well, I like grits, and biscuits and gravy. BBQ is a no-brainer. But not that sweet iced tea.

Cheese grits, or plain grits?

Cheese grits? Cheese for breakfast? Outside of cream cheese on a bagel, I can't see it. Good ol' Quaker slow grits for me.

Grits for breakfast. I like them sweet like my tea. Cheese grits for something different at supper or dinner. Absolutely nothing wrong with grits two or three times per day. Adding a little cheese makes the third time you see them a little easier if you've been getting them three times a day all week :) Just don't serve them instant things they call grits. That is even worse than serving instant 'taters.

Instant grits aren't quite so horrible as instant oatmeal, but that still gives them plenty of room to be yucky.

A real Southerner would NEVER use instant grits.

I'd never had them until I moved to New Orleans, great!, but three times a day? :dizzy:

A real Southerner would NEVER use instant grits.I'd agree, but twice the price for regular grits is a bit annoying, when the store brands only come in instant. I'll bet there are few southern supermarkets without a store brand of regular grits. Best wish-we-had-it-up-here item in southern markets is the generic BBQ sauces made without corn syrup.

All right no more grits just the meat and potatoes.
I need to know about a quick coupler key for a Plasticon or something it appears that a 3/4 nipple will push right in. Anyone have any info??
