I have a quick question, why not plastic for the tube? I would think that the metal would hold heat then the air entering the engine would be hot rather than cold which would kill the performance and gas milage

Looks like someone finally made something out of some decent materials,
and for once with a useful purpose, a goal with benefits other than cosmetics,
and with research behind it that's evidently past the snake oil level.

Bit pricey if you ask me, but I like it.

My only complaint, and it's not addressed towards the aftermarket companies...
But why, with 100-some years in the Industry, can't Detroit make them like this straight from the factory?
Crappy semi-clogged up corrugated intakes that block as much air as they allow through,
semi-efficient ignition systems delivering sparks weaker than possible, it wouldn't cost that
much to make it right in the first place, it just kills me.

Good job guys.

If I'm not mistaken the 2007 classic is the same as the 2006 and the pic in the #1 post should fit yours. You may want to PM Hoyt and have him double check for you. :)
