ok guys so i have a spot on a clients property thats approx 10,000sq ft and hes going to be removing gravel and weeds approx 8-10in deep. he wants to bring it back up level with everything else so im trying to figure out how many yds of soil we need to bring in.

If I assume that the area is 100ft x 100ft at 10 inches depth you will need 310 yards

You will need the same amount of soil hauled in as you haul out. 310 in, 310 out

You will also need to calculte for any damage (ruts and torn up grass) that the trucks and equipment will do to the yard if its not close to the street.

310 yards assuming a 10" depth.
