How do you find fertilizer at wholesale?

I don't have a license to spray pesticides yet but would like to spread fertilizer for my current customers this season. I don't want to pay the price for fertilizer at hardware stores. What would be the best way to find a place that would sell me a pallet of quality fertilizer at wholesale? What's a good brand? Thanks for helping the new guy!:)

Contact Lesco. Without a pesticide license, what are you going to do when that fertilizer makes the weeds grow like crazy and your customer asks you to take care of them?

Try your local Farmland/CO-OP. Ours supplies turf products along with food crop fertilizer. Talk to the turf manager at a golf course.

Greens --- if you run into weedy conditions at some of your accounts and need to apply a post-emergence product, try getting in touch with a local applicator such as Lawn Doctor.

When I need to do a liquid application, I get him to do it. He will do it on a one-time basis and sometimes they will pay you a referral fee.

When you start buying a couple of tons it will go down some. Look for websites United horticulture supply, Helena chemical, The andersons, They should list closest salesman. Farm stores may not have slow release. Might as well get your license, you may meet salesman at training/test. Lesco fert is high, this may change now that they are in trouble and teaming with home cheapo. Talk to golf course guys they know all the local sales guys. Don't be discouraged they will treat you like doo, until your purchase reaches the magic number. 2cents
