I know a lot of people get sick of the same old " how much would you charge for this one" but I am totally lost on this one!!! HELP!!!

I got a guy who wants me to take over ALL LANDSCAPING for him. He works in Va and has a house in NC that he is rarely at and is affraid someone will break in because his current landscaper is big time half assin the work and has been telling him that he has been doing it like its supposed to be done. That being said he wants me to trim all bushes, 84, (medium to large), 2 small trees, and put out new mulch. I measured everything and its gonna require 13 sq yards of mulch, its 1945 square feet and putting it out at 2" deep, the mulch calculator said 13 square yards. I am still needing to get the pricing on the mulch and I have been guarenteed the work, I just need some help with the pricing. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank Jeff

Is $60 include the price of the mulch or is that just labor?

I don't understand how can someone be guaranteed a job
without a solid idea on the price, how does that work?

As for the mulch that depends, I can do it as low as $45 a cubic yard and as high as $80,
a price per cubic yard doesn't work for me because there exist too many variables.

$20 a cubic yard to spread it, plus the price of the mulch.

Yeah, right around 60-65 a yard, here. Make sure you get all his expectations down, first. Is he going to want his shrubbery done twice a season, or only once? Things like that.

Generally for shrubs I walk the property with a pad and pen and each shrub gets a price in my head.... Price varies a lot depending on the size, how far apart are they, do I need a ladder to get to the top, etc.... I then add them all up for a total. If there will be a lot of debris, be sure to add a haul/dump fee for your time to get rid of it all.

Mulch I get 65-75/yard installed here, it depends on the terrain and how far the beds are from the mulch pile.
