Something to say about 30Year old LB..you use one?

I was going to trash this old LB mower but just not sure I should. I'm kind of partial to the LB's with 6hp Briggs..but this old 70's 2-cycle is so-o-o--o light! and runs on first pull. never used it for commercial..but would be a piece of cake just to lift over side of trailer. 19" deck. Wondering if I would be kind of 'odd' using a 30 year old mower just for trim work? anyone using one? Guess only downfall is the mixed gas as I think LB needs LB 2-cycle 'ashless' oil if I remember right. Maybe the trimmer mix with amsoil will work?..anyone using one? Geno P.S.tossed a old 'sensation' last week with magnisium deck..but this LB is even lighter than that was)

Brings back memories. I started mowing back in the early 80's with one of those lawnboys.

The only problem with them is that they did not have much power, probably about 3.5 HP. It is still a great deck design.

As long as it runs good and doesn't smog-up the neighborhood, go for it.
