We are looking for a Turf Specialist to consult on the maintenance of our Croquet Courts. The courts are world class with large annual tournaments and regular play by a croquet club. At issue is we have seemed to fallen into a calendar type maintenance and input schedule. We are looking for advice to improve scheduling along with helping with regular browning off the occurs in the spring
Thanks

Not sure what you mean by maintenance schedule ect.

Weed killer, twice a year, mow once a week, and fertilize 2-3 times a year, aeration twice a year. It might be hard to find a service to mow when-ever instead of on a schedule. Might be something you'll have to pay for.

World class facility, sounds like you guys need an irrigation system too.

How many courts do you have. Have you thought about newer styles of artificial turf in some areas???

I am really basing the question on conservation of inputs, over watering, over fet, fungicides etc. The courts look great, one approach is don't fix it if it is not broken, but we do need to question our processes. Thanks for any input you may have

For us to give you our input of your process, we need to see what your process is.... What is your frequency of mowing, watering, fertilizing, pesticide applications, etc...? Also, what type of grass and soil base? With this information, you will get the opinions your are looking for.

Look into hiring a golf course superintendent or a asst. golf course superintendent.
That would be your best bet....The asst. might do it for a lot less just to get their name out. I would look at your high end courses first.............

Requesting a bit of clarification: Are you looking to hire a Turfgrass Agronomist to develop a maintenance plan?
If so you may wish to "PM" for specific details on how to structure your request verse expected results.
